Hello

This request is something where I really think it could help get the focus back on the tasks without being "cluttered" by the notes. (Of course only if you use notes extensively.)
If you have an outline with many tasks and those tasks contain many notes (detail information about the task, links to relevant resources and so on) and all those tasks and notes are expanded, than it is hard to distinguish the task from the notes.

I think one solution would be to show the notes for a selected task in an area e.g. on the right side (a sidebar?). I think the usefulness of this feature strongly depends on how you use notes and so it would be great to give us this feature as an option. So a user can decide whether he likes to show notes inline (like it is now) or in a sidebar.

The problem here is, that it is inconvenient to expand and collapse the notes all the time. A sidebar would simply show the relevant information every time a task gets the focus. Changing to another note can be done with the keyboard and it would require no extra step to see the notes.
