Lists, like items within a list, should allow notes
I find notes on items to be an exceptionally useful feature. While I'm sure folks use them differently, I use them to add metadata to a list item, to clarify meaning and assumptions behind the item. Doing this is useful; however, the same is not possible with lists themselves.
And as you are aware, Checkvist supports the promoting of list nodes to new lists. When doing this, however, the notes on the original parent node are not transferred to the list itself, since they cannot be.
Implementing notes on a list keeps things homogeneous and makes it easier to promote and demote items consistently. Both lists and items support tags so, if anything, this aligns the two even more.
Right now since I cannot add notes to lists, I add list items to describe the list and I mark them with the blue priority in order to clarify that they are not list content but list metadata.
thanks a lot for the request, but I believe it duplicates this one: https://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-checkvist-web/suggestions/1290569-long-desc-on-list
So please move your vote there; and I already liked this request to it.
