Shortcut to add current date / time
An excel-esque shortcut for current date [ Ctrl + ; ] and current time [ Ctrl - : ] would be useful
Ctrl ; or Cmd ; on Mac for current date
Ctrl : or Cmd : on Mac for current time

There is a detailed instructions from B Farnsworth, how to implement this using Autohotkey:

I currently use Autohotkey to auto-substitute a timestamp when I type "dts" as I edit a task. Would be nice if something like this were native to Checkvist.

@ Peter: Yep, into the body of the task. So if I have a list of say, clients, and I want to add a sub-list with all my interactions (calls, etc) with them, I can just hit shift-enter on the client, then hit the date / time shortcut, and enter details.

@ hashcat: Under what conditions are you wanting an invocation to insert a time-stamp? In the body of a task/note you are editing?

Also..would be nice if date / time format could be chosen in Settings.
YYYY MMM DD, dd/mm/yy, etc
