Partner with Habitica to game-ify heirarchal tasks!
Checkvist's heirarchal approach is ideal for breaking down and organizing your entire world of tasks. Habitica has a fantastic approach where completing your tasks is turned into a game. Combining the two in some way would be the ultimate and would benefit users from both communities.
1 voteThanks for sharing your idea, but I’m afraid it does not fit our product vision yet. We want to create a useful tool for doers, not players.

Markdown isn't working as expected
I wanted to use markdown for the name and/or note of the task, but the suggested syntax does not produce expected results. I have tried using ~~some text~~ and
code
, but I just see what I have initially typed as result. I have checked the other markdown features and they didn't work for me either.1 voteNot enough details.

tag autocomplete on Mobile
I like how the desktop version will autocomplete tags with either the 'tt' command, or when typing a '#' while editing. It would be nice if the Mobile version would autocomplete tags as well.
Perhaps also a 'Tags' command could be added to the "..." menu for selected items on Mobile (add next to the Priority, Notes, Delete commands).1 votePlease vote for https://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/239385/suggestions/6179359 instead

Hitting "enter" does not create a new list from "ll"
When I use "ll" (i.e. lower-case double "L") to get access to both the "search list" and "create new list" functions, I need to click on "create new list" button to create a new list. It used to work by just clicking "enter" before.
1 voteIt is the intentional change.
The problem was that often, people mistyped a list they were looking for and pressed Enter before realizing that nothing was found. This created lists they had to delete after that. Now, to create a list, you have to press extra arrow down before pressing enter. No need to use mouse :)

android native app
I know you're talking about HTML 5, etc., but I am sincere when I say I would use your list and even pay for it if you had an android native app NOW! The mobile UI, well, sucks. :) It's just too slow and not versatile. Your online app is outstanding. Please let those of us who love it continue to use it by making it truly accessible!
0 votesWe won’t implement native non-HTML5 app ourselves. Current mobile version is not that fast, but we plan to create offline-capable version.
There is an attempt to create such an app here: http://jabanaki.blogspot.com/2011/09/todotoday-for-checkvist.html

<img src=foobar.jpg> should work even without the quotes.
It loses the url when submitting, which might be most annoying if someone happens to type the url by hand, but even so, it shouldn't happen. Browsers render img src without quotes.
0 votesSorry, we won’t do this due to some technical reasons.

OPML export does not produce well formed XML when double quotes are used
The attribute value is not terminated correctly when double quotes are present.

Add TimeCalc as a setting Option
TimeCalc is a wonderful option, and for less than 50k it seems like a realistic setting option. It would be the best precursor to an active time management system. Besides Toodledo only hiTask has a good time tracking system. that's besides the point.
Great job on supporting the team and building an awesome app!
0 votesI don’t think so. This is a separate extension, and we’ll solve the issue in a more generic way in the scope of https://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/82564-add-estimated-hours-for-completion-to-track-time
Thanks for the suggestion anyway :)

^ Shortcut for Assigning Due Dates
I would love to be able to hit the ^ key (Shift + 6) to automatically jump to the end of the selected task where the due date is store and be able to just start typing in the new due date after the ^.
Today, if it's a Monday and I want to reassign a task for Friday, I hit DD, and then I have to take my hand off of the keyboard select Friday with my mouse.
With this new enhancement, I would just press ^ key (Shift + 6), type in the three letters "Fri", and press…
