Moving tasks with Ctrl + arrow keys for Mac (OSX 10.7.5) /Safari only works in the "up" direction... has anyone else experienced this? I am finding the alternative shortcut keys (K and J) extremely unintuitive.
1 voteMost likely, there is a conflict for Ctrl+arrows shortcut and system shortcuts (on a Mac, this Ctrl+arrows are used to switch spaces, as far as I remember).
There is a Ctrl+J/K alternative for this shortcut as well.

Audit Trail / Action Log /Journal
One of the challenges of task management is the number of various perspectives that are useful to view
We'd love to see an option to be able to list a all actions updates entries in a chronological log across all lists.
We'd like to use this to support time tracking without needing to use an external app.

Add an option to confirm before delete item
It would be nice to have an option to indicate if a confirmation message must be prompted to the user when trying to delete an item.

timer-set colored task (or new flag)
Working as a team, sometimes it is necessary to know what tasks are updated -- e.g., a member left notes, or sub-tasks are added, etc.
Although there can be many different way of displaying the information (e.g., per user base, like e-mails), simply placing a "flag" or set "color" for updated tasks for the period specified would help.

You can see list items changed within last hour with “changed:1h” filter, for example.
By the way, e-mail notifications about ongoing changes are already available in Checkvist PRO plan.

How bout adding cn as a keyboard short cut to clear notes ?
Maybe I missed it but there doesn't appear to be a keyboard short cut for clearing a note off a task ?

Task delegation: allow for task delegation without sharing the whole list
For the moment checkvist allows task delegation in a 100% collaborative way:a group of people work on common task list that everybody can see and they pickup or they are given some of the tasks.
As a manager i have my own task list which is private and in order to achieve some of the tasks i need to delegate some subtasks to some of my team members without sharing with them all my task list which only concerns me.
I think it would be great to allow for task delegation without sharing the whole list.

Don't rely on Google Groups for your fourms or on google calendar for your calendar feeds. I love what you guys are doing but I want alternatives to google addiction.

Recognize tags when importing OPML
When importing OPML, tags are not recognized as tags. To get tags to be recognized in items I have imported, I have to edit the item and add a space at the end of it. If I add a space to the end of the OPML text, even if I use " ", it gets trimmed, and the tags are not recognized as tags.

It should be possible to use SSL on the mobile site m.checkvist.com.

pasting multilines from clipboard creates multi list items
when pasting text with multiple lines, for example:

line2
line3should paste into 3 list items rather than into the text of one. I often make lists in plain text and want to import them into checkvist

Flexible reminders
Email alerts only show tasks in the immediate future (today, tomorrow), and as far as I'm aware this is not configurable. I would like to set more long-distance reminders for complex tasks, e.g. writing a long report. For example, I would like to set a reminder for two weeks before the report is due. I can do this by creating a separate task, e.g. "reminder for report X" and setting the due date. However, it would be really nifty if I could set a reminder using a shortcut key, without having to create an extra task (or is there another…

Offline mode
How about an option to work with local files only? Let the user decide whether they want to use Dropbox, another cloud service, a private cloud (via NAS), or give up mobile access altogether (some people live in the SOHO anyway, others don't like to work everywhere). In other words, I would like to be able to turn off saving to the Checkvist cloud and only save to a local file or Dropbox file.

please don't strikeout completed items in Box list style.
Hi
I think it's more preferable not to strikeout completed tasks when we set list style to boxes, because we want to check and control such lists repeatedly to see which items are done, so text visibility is important in this mode.
I think that checked box is enough here.

Pressing Enter on an expanded item should add a new child
I think it would be better if pressing Enter on an item that has children and is expanded added a child right below this item. If an item is collapsed or has no children - then add an item below at the same level, like it works now.
Right now the behaviour of Enter key is kind of nonlocal, in that it could suddenly take me a couple of screens down and make me lose my place.1 voteWe tried this approach for some time on beta.checkvist.com, but it looks like it adds more confusion than benefit.

Action to extend/postpone a due date
It's an unfortunate fact that we don't always meet due dates (or is this just me?).
It would therefore be handy to have quick actions to shift an already-set due date later by fixed increments -- for example by 1 day or 1 week.
