  2. I deleted 4 or 5 tasks with 40-50 subtasks today when I cleared the text of a task by holding down the "delete" key. Unfortunately, when the text of the task was empty, the delete key started deleting tasks. Since I had everything collapsed, it deleted several root nodes before I could lift my finger off the key. The "Undo" feature only restored the last-deleted.

I now know better than to hold down the delete key, but if there's any way to prevent errors like this for some other new user without harming the best feature of Checkvist (the great…

  4. I like to use GTD style project titles and then group subprojects under these headers. At the moment if I do this with a task and complete my last current task it will complete my sub-project.

As I understand, the major problem is that parent task disappears when last subtask is closed, and you have “hide completed” mode on.

I believe, this problem is solved now, please check the behaviour on the site.

  5. often we'll move down a list, bulk-checking off tasks. it'd be great to remove all the tasks we're done with with one keystroke, instead of having to go back and delete them all. i also agree it'd help with organization if a completed task was automatically moved to the very top or bottom of the checklist, so we can see all of them together, instead of interspersed throughout.

  8. I use the due dates to manage tasks across multiple lists. I worry that I may have missed adding a date to a task in one of my lists and, as a result, may never complete that item. It would be useful to have the ability to search across all lists for all items that do not have due dates assigned.

  9. Currently when you search or display due tasks, or search for tasks - the tasks hierarchy is flatten on the search page. It would be great to have an ability to view task hierarchy itself, because in my example I've a lot of similarly named tasks but in different hierarchies.

  10. I'd like to revitalize a declined suggestion:

Put a hollow triangle to the left of a task with no subtasks.

That way, the left sides of all tasks at the same level line up perfectly, and you get a much tidier outline. The eye sees the nesting structure more easily.

It's not a decorative feature; absolutely not:
-If you have (sub)tasks on the list with all having subtasks: it's looking tidy (all tasks have solid triangles), you can easily distinguish vetween the (sub)tasks.
-But in the case of mixed (sub)tasks (both having and not having subtasks): the tasks at the…

  17. SUGGESTION
Have search limited so it's scope is Archived items if you are viewing the Archives and non-Archived items if you are not.

    PROBLEM
Items I want to keep for possible reference but not look at often or items I want to move out of the way until their due dates come around are ideal candidates for the Archive feature. Keeping the main list of lists clean.

The problem is that search finds items regardless whether they are Archived or not and over time the number of Archived items being found will only grow.

  20. Sometimes a list is simply an outline and the due dates become an annoyance. I would like the ability to disable due dates for lists.
