  2. The current way to move items up and down (CTRL+up/down) is useful and should be kept like it is.

But sometimes I want to move an item exactly to a position that has a different indent level.
Let's say I have inserted a new item via email -> now it is on top of the list at level 1. I can't indent it to level 3 because there is no item above it and I even don't care if the correct indent level would be 3 or 4 or whatever.
The easiest way is to just drag-and-drop it to the…

  3. What can be a bit of a pain, though, is removing tags. It needs positioning the cursor in a large line of text. I would prefer pressing TT, move to the tag, and then press DELETE to remove it. (Everything but the last step is already implemented.) Other removals are already optimized (clear due, clear all tags).

  4. Deep Linking.
Feel like this has been suggested probably but couldn't find it. I share lists with lots of people and they are quite large. I would like to give people a link to a specific section of my lists. IE already open to that section. Is this possible already? Anyone else think that would be useful?

  5. Hey, Kir. Howdy?

Infinite nested lists are very useful for detailisation, but often I need to focus/review only the top-level tasks in a particular branch. Subtasks only distract me at this moment. Tasks in other branches, above and sibling, only distract me.

Suggestion: add a context menu "hide subtasks on this and sibling items". The expected behaviour -- all the items under the same parent as the current one have their subitems folded, making a short tide overview of a project. I then can unfold them one by one or fold them back -- also one by one. Not sure…

  7. Currently the header section covers about 90 pixels on top of the page. Considering the amount of support for keyboard shortcuts, continuous display of that section is not needed. It would be nice to have a keyboard shortcut to make the entire header section disappear, and only leave the editor in the window.

  8. The Tags page (https://checkvist.com/checklists#tags) refreshes when you make changes. I've found this very irritating when I'm managing my tags...

I'm a heavy tag user, including tags to apply duration values (i.e., "#15m"), and have somewhere between 250 and 300 tags. Having the page refresh causes me to lose my place and requires I scroll back to where ever I was.

I'd like this page to handle it's tag edits the way Checkvist handles edits to list items and notes - the content is updated, while the rest of the content on the page is kept as is, except…

  9. When 'tt' press and "Tags pop-up form" shows i must write tag from first symbol. But i use some tag categories in first part of tags (example 4Name, where 4 - is a category for persons, or 5_Office1, where 5 - is a category for Places, and something like it).
And so i ask about feature to search tags by any symbol in any TagNames. It useful in "tag management page" and in pop-up tag setting dialog.

    OR
sometimes asks about categories for tags, or custom additional params like this:
    https://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-checkvist-web/suggestions/149823-custom-fields-attributes-for-tasks

But i know that is not your way.

  10. The current 'ee' command starts editing the current item, and starts with the entire text selected. Usually I then have to move my hands over to the Home/Left or End/Right keys before being able to Insert or Append text to the existing item text.
My request is to make this just slightly quicker for the hands with:
'ei' to start editing the current item, with no text selected, and the cursor at the beginning of the item text. (Similar to Vim's 'i' command.)
'ea' to start editing the current item, with no text selected, and the cursor at the end…

  11. When I am offline the add (+) button of the mobile site has no effect any more.

It only works when I go online and currently presents another menu of adding above/below/subitem.

This impairs one of the main features of checklist: capturing thoughts and ideas anywhere.

  13. This is a bug that's appeared over the last month or so. I can reproduce it quickly and reliably with these steps:
    1) On desktop, while viewing or editing any list, click on the 'Lists' dropdown (to right of 'global search' field)
    2) In the 'Type to Filter' field, enter the name of a non-existing list, for example "How to Peel a Banana"
    3) Click on 'Create new list' at the bottom to create the list
    4) Click the 'Checkvist' logo to go to the main directory of lists
    5) Two instances of "How to Peel a Banana" have been…

  14. UPDATE: posted to Discourse: https://discuss.checkvist.com/t/checklist-doesnt-work-in-firefox-119-and-up-worked-great-in-118/876/1 Will delete this idea soon!

Checkvist hangs with error "Loading page..." on Firefox 119 release, 120 developer edition and 121nightly. Worked great in Firefox 118.

Please prioritize a fix. Cheers! ....Roland

  15. This could be done by adding an option to the sharing interface to be able to control the profile access to a shared user. This would allow a person to share a checklist with someone who needs to see it, but who you don't want to be able to change anything.

This feature is available in Google Docs for example.

  17. i can't move the task http://checkvist.com/checklists/9446/tasks/428260. the red dot in the upper left corner starts popping, but, apparently, the changes never get saved on the server.
