  1. First sorting criteria is by due, of course.

Then, should sort according to the order of tasks in the list when grouping by list is enabled, or should sort by updated_at when the grouping is disabled.

  2. Although Checkvist Bookmarklet does provide the basic feature, it lacks polish. When I want to save a bookmark, I want saving it for later to be as friction-free as the Pocket Chrome extension.

With Pocket, I click the Pocket logo (effectively a button) and it saves the url to Pocket. One click and done. No thought required. A popup then appears allowing me to add tags, if I want.

With the Checkvist Bookmarklet, I see the icon in a similar spot (to the right of my address bar), however, clicking it does not save the current page's url to Checkvist.…

  3. Kirill, I'm finally adding my idea from the post at https://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/116119-multiple-undo-s

Apply Undo to every action, and state the action being undone in an overlay like you see when you delete or import tasks.

An example from something that's affected me would be to undo changing the order of nesting of items. On complex lists, it can be nearly impossible to deduce the previous context of an item accidentally moved.

  6. Add attachments in notes for better chronological organization. For example, as a proposal progresses we would like to add the proposal PDF and the follow on notes in the same note, making it easy to refer to the history of the proposal.

  7. I know Checkvist already has support for specifying the time estimate, but it would be really cool to track actual time spent on a task. Alternatively, it would be equally cool to have estimation of number of pomodoro sessions required for each task, and then actual tracking of the pomodoros.

Why I think this will be useful for others? Checkvist already is the best tool out there for the divide-and-conquer strategy for getting stuff done. Pomodoro or time tracking will take it to the next level of enabling focused work, which pomodoro seems to help with

  8. From the feedback:

As far as I can tell, the items of a given list appear in global due/search results screens in the order in which they were created.

It would be far more helpful if they appeared in those results in the order in which they presently appear in their list.

I would like to be able to tag certain items and then keep an eye on them by using a web page with a URL like this:

    https://checkvist.com/search?what=%23tag_name

    (#tag_name is a demonstration tag.)

In the underlying list (which might be quite large and complicated), those tagged items would…

  11. I would love an option to view all tasks across all lists. This may not be a frequently-used feature for teams, but it would do me a lot of good. I have a list for each big project or event, but of course I am working on many projects at any given point in time. It would be helpful to get a view of everything I have going on. Thanks!

  14. The deep copy could create a single new list that, rather than reference sub-lists, incorporated their contents directly into the new list's hierarchy.

This would support the creation of re-usable list templates that could be "instantiated". It would also enable a deep export (i.e. export the product of the deep copy)

  15. Hi

The list styling tags do not work for "Notes" or atleast only partially.

You can get the bullets etc. in Notes, but no checkboxes. i..e [] does not work for Notes

  16. I've been using the Font Awesome icon glyphs to great effect to differentiate list items as shown in the linked image.

This has made it really user friendly for my clients to view a list I've shared with them and see the status of items, identify questions I have for them, and indicate when they've answered them in the list. I love it, and it's impressed clients.

I'd like be able to include more than one icon on an item to expand on this (admittadly) improvised functionality, so I can indicate with just a single list item something that requires,…

A solution to this would be a CSS like this:

    .tag.tag_question {visibility:hidden;position:absolute;}

    .tag.tag_question:before
    {content:“\f059”;font-family:FontAwesome;visibility:visible;}

Thus each tag is converted to the icon with such a tag.

    Would it work for you?

  17. Would you please consider add short cut for collapse/expand like in VIM? So that I don't need to move my right arm every time I want to fold/unfold some nodes. To be more specific:

    Current short cut:
    - Collapse/Expand all: Ctrl+Shift+left Ctrl+Shift+right
    - Collapse/Expand the selected branch(recursively): Ctrl-Alt+, Ctrl-Alt+.
    - Collapse/Expand the selected node: left right

    Add new short cut:
    - Collapse/Expand all: zM zR
    - Collapse/Expand the selected branch(recursively): zC zO
    - Collapse/Expand the selected node: zc zo

  18. Simply combine what you already have, so you can have both a checkbox and a numberlist as well as within a list have either/or (checkboxes on some items, numbers on others, nothing on some or combinations).

  20. OPML export should include tags, due, assignee to exported text.

Currently, if list item has tags/due/assignee, this information is not visible after OPML export to non-Checkvist tools, because this information is encoded to own Checkvist attributes in OPML.
