  1. Once a task reaches its due date, it should have an option to expire after a while. For example, I set the due date for "Work out" to today, but I missed it. If I set it to expire, then it should go off the lists automatically the next day. Very useful for repeating tasks like chores and work outs

    1. hide header - that will make it:)
      a. option to add my logo
      b. option to keep search box visible

    2. that might by tricky and is not essential - define portion of a list that is displayed as a full screen
      a. define numbers and let user choose in which order screens are displayed

  2. I just upgraded hoping that would allow me to be able to auto-collapse a parent task once all sub tasks are marked complete. I realize the parent task gets marked complete/closed and I already had that setting on with the free account. I was really hoping I'd be able to turn on a setting that would COLLAPSE the task all the way to the parent level once all sub tasks were completed. I had been doing it manually with the shortcut before upgrading, but it doesn't seem like that is an option, even with a Pro account. I know the…

  3. This is a natural extension to the currently implemented smart syntax for dates/reminders.

Routine life is filled with recurring tasks. So I find this feature indispensable. However, the current method in Checkvist- input form for recurring reminders - very janky even though its admittedly feature-rich.

With some brainstorming, you could be able to implement all or at least most of those features within the smart syntax.

Another advantage is an easy but significant enhancement to the features of the mobile webapp.

Two of the apps I have used in past - moo.do and Nozbe - do a good job at…

  4. Links on lists on Due page should provide filter related to the current section, like
due: today. Currently, it is always due:any.

  5. An audit trail of status changes to a task would be very useful. Dates of creation, modification, completed, reopened etc, just the dates, even without the actual content of modifications.

  6. Create a new "Priority" color that indicates an informational item, like light grey.

I often create a "task" to keep a group of notes together that can't be forgotten. Often times this is just informational data for projects. When prioritizing tasks the informational tasks look like everything else. A subdued color would visually indicate to me the item is not a task, but only informational.

  7. Have tasks due ASAP included when filtering for
    "due: Current Week"

Also seems like it should show up when filtering for
    "due: Tomorrow"
    "due: Current Month"
and maybe also when filtering for
    "due: next Week"
    "due: next Month"

I could see why some might not want it showing up when filtering for next week or next month, etc. but if a task is due ASAP then definitely it is one of the tasks due in the current week.

  8. First sorting criteria is by due, of course.

Then, should sort according to the order of tasks in the list when grouping by list is enabled, or should sort by updated_at when the grouping is disabled.

  9. Although [Checkvist Bookmarklet](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/checkvist-bookmarklet/pheahjlflgbnajeilgglgcdlbkdckamf?hl=en) does provide the basic feature, it lacks polish. When I want to save a bookmark, I want saving it for later to be as [friction-free](https://www.uxpin.com/studio/blog/kill-friction-before-it-kills-your-ux/) as the Pocket Chrome extension.

With Pocket, I click the Pocket logo (effectively a button) and it saves the url to Pocket. One click and done. [No thought](https://www.sensible.com/dmmt.html) required. A popup then appears allowing me to add tags, if I want.

With the Checkvist Bookmarklet, I see the icon in a similar spot (to the right of my address bar), however, clicking it does not save…

  10. Kirill, I'm finally adding my idea from the post at https://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/116119-multiple-undo-s

Apply Undo to every action, and state the action being undone in an overlay like you see when you delete or import tasks.

An example from something that's affected me would be to undo changing the order of nesting of items. On complex lists, it can be nearly impossible to deduce the previous context of an item accidentally moved.

  13. Add attachments in notes for better chronological organization. For example, as a proposal progresses we would like to add the proposal PDF and the follow on notes in the same note, making it easy to refer to the history of the proposal.

  14. I know Checkvist already has support for specifying the time estimate, but it would be really cool to track actual time spent on a task. Alternatively, it would be equally cool to have estimation of number of pomodoro sessions required for each task, and then actual tracking of the pomodoros.

Why I think this will be useful for others? Checkvist already is the best tool out there for the divide-and-conquer strategy for getting stuff done. Pomodoro or time tracking will take it to the next level of enabling focused work, which pomodoro seems to help with

  15. From the feedback:

As far as I can tell, the items of a given list appear in global due/search results screens in the order in which they were created.

It would be far more helpful if they appeared in those results in the order in which they presently appear in their list.

I would like to be able to tag certain items and then keep an eye on them by using a web page with a URL like this:

    https://checkvist.com/search?what=%23tag_name

    (#tag_name is a demonstration tag.)

In the underlying list (which might be quite large and complicated), those tagged items would…

  18. I would love an option to view all tasks across all lists. This may not be a frequently-used feature for teams, but it would do me a lot of good. I have a list for each big project or event, but of course I am working on many projects at any given point in time. It would be helpful to get a view of everything I have going on. Thanks!
