  1. Checkvist is good enough to use it for personal and professional todo lists (splitted, for sure)…
But these are 2 different worlds and you may expect to use the "due" view for only one of the lists, and not see your "profesionnal" deadlines when checking your personal planning.

Regarding this, I would really like to have a way to display tasks of one list (or maybe many).

There can be many ways to allow to filter the list(s). Here are some ideas:

    add a new “list:xxx” filter

add the possibility to get the “due” view for ore list

  2. Imagine this.

You conscientiously tag your Checkvist tasks. You use a lot of tags.

You find the tasks you want to work on by searching by tag.

You now want to focus on JUST the tasks (forget the tags), wouldn't it be great to be able to toggle tag visibility?

We can already toggle detail and context in various bits of the UI, how hard can it be ? :)

  3. I have seen this feature in mindmapping software and would personally find it useful. For example, when I am looking at my due tasks, i tend to filter by tag. Every single task needs to be separately tagged, or it won't appear when filtered. If they inherited tags this would be more straightforwards (NB I can understand that many people may not like this, but one could make this behaviour optional)

  5. The desktop version is almost useful in android - So close! - which would be a big advantage at times, since there are important things that can be fine there but not on mobile. With an external keyboard it works absolutely fine, but without one the most glaring lack is copy-paste to move items. There is an item for that in the help menu to the right, but unlike other items the link doesn't work. If there were just a copy and a paste option on the long press menu (aa), I would be a happy camper. Would that be…

  6. The auto completion of a task when all sub tasks are completed is useful but not in all circumstances.

For example when I manage a project I may have tasks that, in reality, are more like categories and they may contain sub-categories.

I would like to keep these always "not completed" unless I complete them manually as I may add new tasks to them later and therefore it would greatly help if they are always visible and not marked as completed with the line across (when not hiding completed tasks).

  7. The "right arrow" shortcut comes to a dead end when it reaches a note. Shouldn't it continue through the notes and down to the next item, like "down arrow" does?

  8. When not editing an item, Alt+Enter adds a new item above the current one. Pressing Enter while editing a new item saves the item and adds a new item below. I'd like to have a keyboard shortcut for saving a new item and adding another above.

Use case: I'm using a list for keeping track of to-dos, which is sorted from newest-to-oldest. It's useful to have this shortcut when adding multiple items in succession.

  9. Similar to the Stick Header/Toolbar request. I would like to see a feature to make the right side quick reference toolbar sticky when scrolling. I'm loving the app, but I would like to be able to glance over for quick tips as opposed to entering the ? menu.

  10. When several people work simultaneously on the same list, UI updates but with a noticeable delay, about 10 seconds. It would be nice to work collaboration more instant.

  11. Not sure if this is already possible: I'd like to be able to import or paste items with links. The Checkvist link structure ([link: ] is fine for most purposes, but when I paste in text from other web site with links, the links gets lost in Checkvist. Is there a way around that now, or could there be?

  12. If I write code snippets in the tasks body everything between angle brackets disappear. The only workaround seems to put the code inside a Markdown code block. However, I disabled Markdown globally, and enabling it would instead break code snippets using parts symbols reserved by Markdown syntax (as an asterisk for a simple formula snippet). It would be far easier to me if I could disable all interpretation of text as HTML or Markdown and just work in plain old text (I have no qualms with losing the automatic conversion of URLS to hyperlinks). For a programmer, like me, is…

  14. Please consider a "tag:any" search option so that users can search for any tagged item in a list. One of the use cases for this feature request is for list items that move between states by way of tags, i.e. initial state may be #new and then the item is re-tagged as #processing, or another example would be who the item was parked with like #steeringcommittee or #dev or #testing or #UAT.

Viewing all tagged items in one list would allow users to re-tag the state of multiple items without the need to return to the tag list over and…

  15. I'm using Checkvist for logging my activities over the day. Currently I create in my log list a new entry with the current date and then add my activities as subentries. However, this makes it not possible to search through my log efficiently, e.g. something like "show me all activities in the interval <start date> to <end date>" or "show me everything that happened in November". I don't want to use due dates for this as my activities would show up in my todo list. What would be great if there is something similar to due dates (simple timestamps, inserted…

  16. We need to be able to sort by a priority number, or other criteria, as non-destructive, meaning if the list is refreshed, the original order (prior to sort) is established. This would infer that the sorted list would be read-only and would have to have a "Edit (Original)" button.

  17. Seriously, what task list doesn't have a numbered priority setup? Without it, Checkvist is a dinosaur on steroids, an extremely high-quality archaic listing system. To make it more of a project management tool, a basic requirement is to have the ability to add numbered priority that will show as a bolded smaller number to the left of each task line, and to be able to show a non-destructive "sort" by priority number, without affecting any colored tasks. Along with this is the need to recognize that color is not always used for priority. I use color for other reasons, such…

  20. Hello,

In Google Docs, when select a text and insert a link,
it does a google search and shows a pop-up with the top-three results,
which is what we want anyway more than 90% of the time

I demo this awesome feature here
    https://www.useloom.com/share/510d6103ce5f4c79b4418aab99ed3c84

Would love to have this in checkvist

This can be done via the Google Search API (https://developers.google.com/custom-search/json-api/v1/overview
