Communication Board
If several people, or a family, is sharing a common checklist, a communication board within the check list would be helpful. Thinking of something else beside the notes.

register another url so I don't feel like I'm mistyping
I feel silly every time I type in www.checkvist.com. It feels like a typo.
Even if another url just redirects, I would feel better suggesting it to friends and linking to it.
some random suggestions...
www.chcklst.com for that web2.0 vibe.
www.chequelist.com would feel cosmopolitan and sophisticated.
37signals always tacks a word on the end of their urls so they don't have to buy expensive domain names. www.basecamphq.com, www.campfirenow.com, etc. can't think of an obvious cute word, but there has to be something.
Cool product, I love using it.

Will, you can use http://checklisthq.com :-) It was the original domain we’ve bought. Very 37-signalish!

Have list of checklists in PERMANENT view . . .
. . . from every page on the site [or most] rather than forcing users to find desired checklist from the drop down menu at the top as this take time.

allow manual drag and drop sorting of lists on the homepage.
On the home page it would be nice if you could sort lists the way you want instead of just by name or last updated.
For example, I have a list for each day of the week. I'd like to sort my lists in the order of the days of the week instead of using the workaround of adding a number to the beginning of the day.

Embed existing lists/sublists, not just hyperlinks (similar to symlinks). Was: checklist of checklists
Active links. Ability to nest checklists. Checklist could be your own or someone elses that you are collaborating on. This provides the opportunity for more complex tasks
172 votesCheckvist now allows easy linking and a good preview of the linked tasks, please see this blog post for details and demo:

Export to email function
We can export our lists to html, cvs, etc, but I think it would be valuable to send a list to an email address as well.

Add SMS support to create/append lists and retrieve lists
This makes lists always available, and is the only reason I'm sticking with gubb.

Configure templates to create whole new checklists
It would be excellent to be able to create a template checklist. For programming tasks this might include "write database patches, write unit tests, write code, debug/test, release, document" etc. Each time you start a new piece of programming work, you could create a new checklist from the template (direct copy, with opportunity to change the title) and edit it as much as you like to suit the specific task you're undertaking.
6 votesIn fact, this scenario already works with checkvist. See, you can copy a checklist as a whole (see the link in the toolbar). With the copy operation, you can reopen closed tasks in the target checklist. So, as long as you finished one checklist, just use is as a template for new one and use copy operation.

add a toobar for commands
So users viewing on an iphone can edit their lists without the need of the keyboard, they can click Add node/move node.. etc. (With that I think it will work on iphone and be on the go friendly)
