  3. I use CheckVist primarly as a notetaking/knowledge base/snippet keeper. Less so than for to-do lists.
I have long been frustrated (minimally as its not a HUGE issue) by the lack of 'fingers-at-home-key-centric ability to open an entry to see the note it contains.
'nn' use demands that you follow it up with 'Esc' and you have to remove your hands from the home settings to use the -> cursor key... which also seems like a bit of a cheap cop-out if I'm being honest.

Wondering if there is the possibility to include additional ways to create keyboard shortcuts. I mean…

  4. Seems like I cannot restore an object if the parent object has been deleted separately afterwards but not restored yet. In this case the clicking on "restore selected" simply does nothing which seems pretty counter intuitive for me.

  8. I would like to have a shortcut to add a new task to the top of the current list.
I mean, add to the top without taking into account the currently selected task.

  11. When one moves a node/subtree today one can search only within the current level displayed in the bottom pane.

It would useful if one could search the full tree, or at least search the full tree once one has selected a list on the bottom pane. I am saying this mostly to avoid having to navigate the tree with the arrow keys to find the target.

As you can imagine I am taking the idea from emacs org-mode refile command. Refile works by defining how many levels down the tree the system should search for targets, maybe this would be…

  12. It would be helpful to limit search to a particular group of lists. I have many lists, and global searches can bog down and also return many irrelevant results. Perhaps we could go to the "lists" page, check the ones we want to search, and then enter the search terms?

  13. Tags do not appear in ical feeds. Only the name of the containing list is shown. Like many, I use tags as one of the primary means to sort through tasks / events. It would be really handy if tags were imported as then calendars could be searched based on tags. This would show calendar views for different types of tasks / events.

  14. The tooltips that display the location of the line in the outline hierarchy if you hover over a line item are highly distracting to me and cover what I am trying to read.

Please add an option to the Settings to turn off this tooltip feature.

  15. If you're working on a big outline with lots of deeply embedded item tags, it'd be really useful to be able to see all those tags in a list (e.g. as part of the 'list information' pop-up accessed via the 'i' button) or a tag cloud.

Clicking on a tag should then filter the outline accordingly.

You can 'sort of' do this by just typing '#' into the filter field, but that immediately lists all tags used throughout your account, whereas what you want is tags used only in the current outline.

  16. If you regret an undo it's nice to have a redo. Usually it's ctrl/cmd+shift+z and in other services it's ctrl/cmd+y (I prefer the first one, as it doesn't require two hands or strained fingers)

This is related, but not necessarily linked to the feature suggest for multiple undo's:

  19. Checkvist basically contains all of my most private information. It would be good if all the data is only saved encrypted on the server and is locally decrypted with AES in the browser.

A second password for that local decryption would be required.

This would give me peace of mind, that my intimate data is not stolen or breached by any third party.

  20. Usually, this is related to time-based sorting, either by due dates or last update date. But Z-A sorting may also be useful
