Currently, frequent http requests are sent, I assume for the syncing service.
For users concerned with bandwidth at remote places or users concerned about privacy or tracking, an option would be appreciated that prevents these frequent requests.
How about an non-default option that starts the syncing process only when explicitly requested by a menu option? Both, for the desktop and the mobile version.1 vote

I just upgraded hoping that would allow me to be able to auto-collapse a parent task once all sub tasks are marked complete. I realize the parent task gets marked complete/closed and I already had that setting on with the free account. I was really hoping I'd be able to turn on a setting that would COLLAPSE the task all the way to the parent level once all sub tasks were completed. I had been doing it manually with the shortcut before upgrading, but it doesn't seem like that is an option, even with a Pro account. I know the…1 vote
Currently on a desktop with FireFox or Chrome,
Pre image text
Post image text
The Post image text is rendered before the image. It is nice to be able to introduce the image, show the image and then comment on some aspect of the image.
With numbered paragraphs, a list item containing an image presents the para number on a separate line before the Pre Image text. This breaks up my nice layout1 vote
Migrating from Todoist I really miss repeating options like 'every first monday of the month', 'every last workday of the month', etc.1 vote
Use case: adding many code fragments to Checkvist. Prefixing each one with ``` is boring. Instead, Checkvist can ask to prefix the code when programming code is detected when a list item with code is pasted.1 vote
This is a natural extension to the currently implemented smart syntax for dates/reminders.
Routine life is filled with recurring tasks. So I find this feature indispensable. However, the current method in Checkvist- input form for recurring reminders - very janky even though its admittedly feature-rich.
With some brainstorming, you could be able to implement all or at least most of those features within the smart syntax.
Another advantage is an easy but significant enhancement to the features of the mobile webapp.
Two of the apps I have used in past - moo.do and Nozbe - do a good job at…1 vote
Links on lists on Due page should provide filter related to the current section, like
due: today. Currently, it is always due:any.0 votes
This would give us 3 more colors and the flexibility to use our own color coding.
Ideally this would allow to set the forground and the background color :-)6 votes
Reopened because currently it is only possible to select colors from pre-defined set.
It would be great if I could visualise my top level nodes next to each other instead of underneath each other.
So that I can see all the sub-nodes as items on these vertical lists.
They're called the Kanban approach, and I think it would be a great addition to CheckVist! It doesn't have to be as visual as trello, the current simple design could do! But you could use ⌘→ and ⌘← to move them between boards.25 votes
Header tools should stick (fixed position) to the top of the browser window so you don't have to keep scrolling up to flip between lists.4 votes
Add attachments in notes for better chronological organization. For example, as a proposal progresses we would like to add the proposal PDF and the follow on notes in the same note, making it easy to refer to the history of the proposal.3 votes
From the feedback:
As far as I can tell, the items of a given list appear in global due/search results screens in the order in which they were created.
It would be far more helpful if they appeared in those results in the order in which they presently appear in their list.
I would like to be able to tag certain items and then keep an eye on them by using a web page with a URL like this:
(#tag_name is a demonstration tag.)
In the underlying list (which might be quite large and complicated), those tagged items would…4 votes
It would be nice if you could have multiple views open at once in the same tab, in some sort of arrangeable panels. I have many lists and I open them in separate tabs, but it would be nice to be able to view multiple lists at once in one tab.
In my case, I could then see my brief/sparse daily todo, my long notes list, focused on this week's sub-item, and my primary project list open in the largest panel.
From there you could drag items between lists etc.7 votes
when using list wide search (i.e. when hit two enter/ crtl+entr) searching for web doesn't return website as a result.
There is no such bug when you search only within a list. (i.e. when you hit / and start typing)12 votes
IS this already supported? if not what are my best options/workarounds? maybe something with custom CSS or code ? (just trying to think outside the box)15 votes
I have 27" Thunderbolt display and Checkvist takes use only tiny amount of screen real-estate. Could there be a full width mode for people like me? I also take quite lengthy notes so extra width would be a help.9 votes
