  1. some documents need to be simple outlines -- not checklists -- It would be good to be able to turn off checklist features or create separate kinds of documents (outline or checklist outline)

  3. Hi,

It would be great to sync Checkvist with ToDos from iCal. That way the users would have one online and one offline ToDo list and no new application has to be developed (at least not for the Mac)

    Cheers,

    Faz

We’re going to release read-only sharing mode soon.
Regarding deletion – if user can write to a task, it is essentially the same as being able to delete it (because I can change content to virtually nothing).

  11. (It's the Q that irritates me!) May be once day checkvist kill stupid supermemo.com? :) (especially www.supermemo.net.pl)

Once I can create some issue for memorizing and checkvist will lead me? It will shows me the issue in special day, listen my answer and decide (from special secret formula) when it will show me the issue in next time... It's again about calendar repeat tasks, but a bit deeper.

  13. 1) If a level 1 item has no children, it cannot drag/drop -- it should do so....
    2) When holding a dragged item over a collapsed item for a couple of beats without moving, the underlying level expands, assuming you want the tree to open to the next level to see where you might want to drop the item at a deeper level--and so on, to the last level of any subtree. That is, pause, open, drag, pause, open, etc.--until you drop it at whatever level you choose.

  16. I feel silly every time I type in www.checkvist.com. It feels like a typo.

Even if another url just redirects, I would feel better suggesting it to friends and linking to it.

    some random suggestions...

    www.chcklst.com for that web2.0 vibe.

www.chequelist.com would feel cosmopolitan and sophisticated.

37signals always tacks a word on the end of their urls so they don't have to buy expensive domain names. www.basecamphq.com, www.campfirenow.com, etc. can't think of an obvious cute word, but there has to be something.

Cool product, I love using it.

  17. I like to have the ability to review any items that have been added or edited recently. If I export the list this is easy to do for everything except the notes. Please add the date stamp to the notes as well.

  18. Hi all,

i suggest a team hierarchy with areas of responsibilities, each task will be marked with area of responsibility (marketing, sales, support, ...), so that it's clear which person is responsible for the whole area (not just a specific task)

  19. If several people, or a family, is sharing a common checklist, a communication board within the check list would be helpful. Thinking of something else beside the notes.

  20. It would be excellent to be able to create a template checklist. For programming tasks this might include "write database patches, write unit tests, write code, debug/test, release, document" etc. Each time you start a new piece of programming work, you could create a new checklist from the template (direct copy, with opportunity to change the title) and edit it as much as you like to suit the specific task you're undertaking.

In fact, this scenario already works with checkvist. See, you can copy a checklist as a whole (see the link in the toolbar). With the copy operation, you can reopen closed tasks in the target checklist. So, as long as you finished one checklist, just use is as a template for new one and use copy operation.
