  1. I like the sorting functionality already implemented (sort A-Z, priority, due date), but it would be nice if one could sort only subtasks of a given task without sorting the while tree of tasks.

  3. I use Checkvist to keep a historically archived log of the tasks I have already completed, so I am often markings tasks off that I did yesterday to archive them away. Is there any way you could create a shortcut for YD that would add a due date for Yesterday?

  4. Can you provide a keyboard shortcut for invoking the [Import tasks] button on Import dialog window?
My suggestions would be to use ‘Ctrl+Enter’

    Problematic User Story
Currently, when I want to import a list of tasks I have to do the following:

    1. Copy the list of tasks to the clipboard (Ctrl+C)
    2. Switch back to Checkvist (Alt+tab)
    3. Select the task I want to import the tasks under (arrow keys)
    4. Bring up the Import dialog window (IM)
    5. Paste in the list of tasks (Ctrl+V)
    6. Press the [Import tasks] button*

*This is the problem step. In order to keep my hands on the…

  5. For example, if I've selected a list at https://checkvist.com/checklists#due, I'd like to be able to type "dd" to invoke the Due date control, and have the date I select be applied to all of the tasks under the selected list. And if I type "cd", I'd like the "Clear due date" action to be performed on all the tasks under the selected list.

  6. I use the priority (color) function heavily. It would be a big speed and enjoyment boost if I could specify the priority (color) on the fly with the familiar Checkvist double-tap shortcut method:

    'rr' for red
    'bb' for blue
    'gg' for green

This would be much more fluid than having to reach up to the number row every time. It seems these codes aren't currently being used by other shortcuts unless I'm mistaken, so why not put them to good use for accessing an important function?

    Thanks for considering.

  7. If the task that is highlighted/selected has sub-tasks and is collapsed -> hitting enter creates an input field BUT this field doesn't get the focus - so simply typing the text doesn't work

  8. We have Ctrl+HOME/END to send a task to the top of the list, but I'd like Alt+HOME/END to send a task to the top/bottom of the branch it's in.

  9. The current shortcut to access "Search" is "Shift + /"
This shortcut is perfect for EN-US keyboards where both the keys are close by.

However for other international keyboards e.g. SE (Swedish), this is very tedious since the "/" key is located at the middle top row of the keyboard.

It should be possible to keep "international" variants of keyboards in mind or atleast allowed to change the modifier for this particular short-cut, since this is the only one that "sticks" out.

  12. When I try to export my tasks to Google Calendar with the help of "Send to Calendar" button on the Due page Google shows the events from the archived list even when the checkbox "Include due tasks from archived lists" is unchecked.

The URL for the calendar contains the correct boolean value though: include_archived_lists=false. I assume the app just ignores the param right now.

  13. For instance, when a daily repeating due task is missed, it rarely makes sense to mark it overdue.

A proposal is to add an option to ignore repeating due tasks which were not completed on time, and just generate the next due date for them.

    1. Open 2 checkvist windows on the same list
    2. Window 1: focus on one root task (shift ->)
    3. Window 2: add a root task

    What happens?
Added task is displayed in Window 1.

    What is expected?
Task is not a sub-task of task focused, so it shouldn't display.

(It also happens at other levels, but only when added task is sibling of the focused task.)
