Creating a do nothing Ctrl-s mapping so that browsers save page is not launched by key stroke.
I doubt I am the only one who ctrl-s in assorted apps including web apps to make sure state is saved. Id find it convenient if Ctrl-s was swallowed by checkvist so I don't get the save page dialog. I don't think ridding me off my Ctrl-s habit is a good idea.
1 voteSorry Rob, we don’t think we should break browser functionality in this way.

timer-set colored task (or new flag)
Working as a team, sometimes it is necessary to know what tasks are updated -- e.g., a member left notes, or sub-tasks are added, etc.
Although there can be many different way of displaying the information (e.g., per user base, like e-mails), simply placing a "flag" or set "color" for updated tasks for the period specified would help.
1 voteJerome, thanks for the suggestion.
You can see list items changed within last hour with “changed:1h” filter, for example.
By the way, e-mail notifications about ongoing changes are already available in Checkvist PRO plan.
Also, I think this request duplicates this one: http://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/14940-recent-activity-page
so I close this one, please vote for the mentioned request.

run in tiny window
I wanted my list on-screen all the time, so here's a howto for making checkvist really compact: http://drewp.quickwitretort.com/2010/12/31/0
1 voteCheckvist has an integration as Firefox sidebar – it is described on this page: http://checkvist.com/auth/profile#tools
May be it will fit your need better? -
hollow triangle on tasks w/ no subtasks (much tidier look!)
Put a hollow triangle to the left of a task with no subtasks. It's just decoration, no clickable function.
That way, the left sides of all tasks at the same level line up perfectly, and you get a much tidier outline. The eye sees the nesting structure more easily.
1 voteWe do not think putting decorative controls with no function into UI is a very good idea.

Time stamp in "task details" is not local time
I don't quite know how to approach this problem, since I also share lists with people from different time zones, but I don't exactly understand what time is used in the "task details".
Whatever time it is, it's 10 hours earlier than the real time (When I close a task at 13:00, it shows 03:00).I don't know if it should be GMT(+/- #), local time or not, but an issue worth reviewing, no?

Allow importing from Word
Since Checkvist has a very similar hierarchical structure to Word's outline, it would be helpful to be able to import from that application.

Completing Tasks In Projects
When I complete a task for a space bar (strikethrough) it tends to strike through the whole project as completed. Sometimes we have three or four sub tasks in a related project. When a task it done and highlighted it should only (space bar) complete that specific sub task, not the whole project...

Hide completed tasks for subtasks only
I would love to see specific options per taks.
Not only completed, but also expand, sorting, line numbers, details, etc.Makes sense for you?
1 voteDon’t think this is really useful. You can extract a list, and set options there.

Keyboard shortcut - 'o' to expand & 'c' to collapse current task
First of all, I love your site. I use it daily as my primary to do list. The main reason I chose checkvist is because it's the only one with really good keyboard support. I just have a suggestions to make it even better - I love having my fingers in the home keys. So I use j and k to navigate. However, if I want to expand or collapse I have move fingers away from the home row to the left/right navigation keys. This I find a little inconvenient. My suggestion is to have 'o' as a shortcut to…
1 voteHello Madhav,
Thanks for your suggestion, but I’m afraid we cannot accomplish it yet. We have ‘oo’ shortcut busy for showing Checkvist options popup. We also have shortcuts ‘cd’ and ‘ct’ to clear tasks due and tags. So, we cannot use ‘o’ and ‘c’ shortcuts for collapse/expand. Regards, KIR -
TagISNOT:waiting
If i want to hide something tagged #waiting or #onhold I want to have a filter in the search-field for that, such as
TagNot:waiting
or similar syntax.

Hello,
Could you please clarify, what do you mean “blank screen”? When a list is shared with a specific user, we show a corresponding message.May be, you’ve found some bug? Could you probably write us via e-mail (kirsa@checkvist.com) and describe your actions, what you expect, and what you see.
Thanks a lot!

Search by color not working for all tasks
I have created multiple tasks across multiple lists and assigned several to have color: 1. Searching within a single list for color: 1 works as expected. However, searching all lists for color: 1 does not find all of the tasks.

Bug: search by assigned person doesn't work for global search
I am not able to find all tasks that i have assigned to Steve in all my lists. For example using a query like "@Steve" in a global search doesn't return any result
1 voteYes, instant filtering in the list works immediately (actually, it works in the browser, without accessing the server).
Global search requires index update which is done once per 10 minutes.
